Sending policy

Last updated 13 September 2026. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to every account and every message sent through Sendslay.

1. Permission is required

You may only send email to recipients who have given you permission to contact them. Permission means the recipient knowingly provided their address to you and understood they would receive email from you.

  • Purchased, rented, harvested, scraped or otherwise third-party lists are prohibited without exception.
  • Addresses collected for one purpose may not be used for an unrelated purpose.
  • When you import a list, you confirm that you hold the necessary permission and can evidence how and when it was obtained.
  • Permission does not transfer. You may not send to a list acquired with a business unless recipients also opted in to hear from you.

2. Identify yourself honestly

  • From, Reply-To and sender information must accurately identify you or your organisation.
  • Subject lines must reflect the content of the message. Misleading subject lines are prohibited.
  • Every message must include a valid physical postal address for the sender.
  • Header information may not be falsified, forged or otherwise obscured.

3. Unsubscribing must work

Sendslay adds a one-click unsubscribe link and the corresponding List-Unsubscribe and List-Unsubscribe-Post headers to every message.

  • You may not remove, disable or obscure the unsubscribe link.
  • Unsubscribe requests are honoured immediately and the address is suppressed for your account.
  • Unsubscribing may not require a login, a reason, a fee or any step beyond a single click.
  • You may not re-add or re-import an address that has unsubscribed.

4. Suppression is permanent

Every unsubscribe is added to your account's suppression list the moment it happens, and a suppressed address is excluded from every future send — including through a later import. A suppression entry can only ever harden; it never returns an address to mailable.

Hard bounces and spam complaints are ingested automatically from the delivery feedback loop. A hard bounce or a complaint suppresses that address for your account immediately and permanently, without any action from you, and that entry cannot be reversed or re-imported.

5. Rate thresholds

Sustained poor engagement damages deliverability for every sender on the platform, so we act on it per account.

  • Every account has a daily send limit, enforced by the sending system itself. A campaign larger than your limit is refused before it starts.
  • New accounts are subject to a reduced daily limit until reviewed.
  • We may pause sending on your account at any time. A paused account is refused at both preflight and dispatch — nothing leaks out.
  • We may require list validation, a lower sending rate, or evidence of consent before sending resumes.
  • Your bounce and complaint rates are monitored automatically over a rolling 7-day window. Sending pauses on its own, with nobody involved, once bounces pass 5% (minimum 200 delivered) or complaints pass 0.1% (minimum 2,000 delivered); a warning state is raised earlier, at 3% and 0.05%.

6. Prohibited content

Sendslay may not be used to send:

  • Malware, phishing, credential harvesting, or any message designed to deceive the recipient about who sent it.
  • Content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of others.
  • Sexually explicit material, content promoting violence or hatred, or content targeting a protected group.
  • Chain letters, pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick offers, and cryptocurrency or trading promotions of a speculative nature.

7. Domain authentication

Sending domains must be verified before use. We generate the required DKIM, SPF, DMARC and custom MAIL FROM records, and check that they are published before sending is unblocked. You may not send from a domain you do not control, and free mailbox domains cannot be used as sending domains.

8. Enforcement

We investigate every abuse report we receive. Depending on what we find, we may pause sending, require remediation, suspend the account, or terminate it. Serious or repeated violations result in termination without refund.

Report abuse to abuse@sendslay.com. Please include the full message headers where possible.
